Youth Hostel Opening....

Whats Good people!! I aint touched the blog for a hot minute & u dun know bare tings have happened but heyyy... im only human!! lol

In my day job i work with a lot of disadvantaged young people and me & Kamilah were invited to help out in the launch of a brand new youth hostel in Camden Town!

There was alot of bigwigs & very influential people there including government representatives & council governors! Kamilah su had to get up and do a lil speech in front of all the people there... damnnn i should of recorded it they way my girl just switched up from Ms Yardy 2008 to a similar tone of Margaret Thatcher!!


Upstairs in one of the common rooms i had my lil DJ Set up.. showing the young people & the oldies how to get downnn (i said Swearrr Downnn)


There was also lovely ladies providing massages (sorry i cant remember the name of their company for the life of me) but i do know... Jeeeeeez!! That was the best massage ive had in my life...

Arnold Oceng A.K.A Snakeyman was also invited to the opening & gave a speech/rap....Which was on point!! Again i shouldve recorded but i wasnt on point!!

Last night i was at An Audience With Eddie which is basically his one man show in the Indig02 arena!!

Like a fool i forgot my camera in the car so your going to have to take my word for it....But it was one of the best live shows ive been to in a while!!

Organisation, content & delivery were all superb!! The guests - Yolanda Brown, Miss Dynamite, Guvna B, Dwaine Chambers were all very entertaining!!

Also It was my first time seeing the dance group 'Diversity' & i was really impressed!!

There was a bit of a madness at the end... Where i think someone hit a fire alarm by accident so that was a bit confusing! But regardless got to give it up to him because he is the future of UK Comedy.... Watch this Space...

If these bills go through then we will effectively have no more decent independent live music shows. Not only that but it is clear that unadulterated discrimination is part of the agenda seeing as all promoters and performers will be forced fill in a form detailing their musical AND RACIAL profile / characteristics (ie. what kind of music, what is the racial demographic the target audience etc.)
If you are a DJ, Promoter, Artist, fan of music, you should take a minute to check these out and put your name down. If you don’t, don’t cry and moan next year if the propposed changes go through. You can act now to protect our scene!

PETITION 1 - MANDATORY SOUND LIMITERS IN ALL VENUES WITH MUSIC

This basically means that your DVD surround system or Ipod headphones will probably be a louder experience. Ever been to a show where the crowd are talking louder than the artist performing? It’s a crap experience, and will damage the Live Muic Industry.

PETITION 2 - MANDATORY BACKGROUND CHECKS FOR MUSICIANS AND PROMOTERS

The form demands that licensees give police a mass of detail, including the names, aliases, private addresses and phone numbers of all musicians and other performers appearing at their venue, and the ethnic background of the likely audience (this is an 8 page document). Failure to comply could mean the loss of a license or even a fine and imprisonment.

One of the questions on the form requires the licensee to specify the type of music that will be performed, giving as possible examples “Bashment, R’n'B, Garage”. Another question asks, “Is there a particular ethnic group attending?”.

This will have massive implications on certain bands and ethnic groups - it may stop groups performing - the police appear to be focusing on the music enjoyed by black and Asian teenagers.

Fergal Sharkey (CEO of British Music Rights) said: “In explicitly singling out performances and musical styles favoured by the black community we believe the use of Risk Assessment Form 696 is disproportionate, unacceptable and damaging to live music.”

Yes i do feel Jay Sean is probably one of the U.K's Best Male rnb singer's... Yea i said it!!! but i dont know why.. but he just never gets the respect or commercial success he deserves... his previous track 'Ride It' shouldve been no.1 in the UK charts but only peeked at the number 11th spot, Now if it was Ne-yo or an american who sang that song... it wouldve been No.1 for like 10 weeks cos its a BIGGGG TUNE......

ALSO....If you didnt already know.... Jay Sean is now signed to the same label as Lil Wayne 'Cash Money' so hopefully this will now mean he will get the spotlight he deserves... so expect alot more from Jay Sean in 09!!!!

Saw this trailer and thought the movie would actually be quite decent... but i was very dissapointed!!! initially it was actually alright but got very very boring during the middle & end...

I would give it like 2/5!! so i would suggest anyone planning on going to see this movie to give it a break and wait for the MOVIE im waiting for......NOTORIOUS

Released in the UK on the 13th Feb Just in time for valentines!!!.... Watch out for a more in-depth review!
